Since July 2018 the Community Tennis Programme at Ackworth School has impacted

5500+ students | 12 Teachers | 19 Schools


Since working with the Ackworth School BECSLink Community Hub our club has achieved a milestone in terms of adult membership. The coach provided has proved to be excellent and relationships between Club and School appear to be at an all time high.

BACKGROUND

THERE IS A GROWING BODY OF RESEARCH LINKING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY TO IMPROVEMENTS IN ACHIEVEMENT

TODAY IN THE UK, NEARLY 30% OF CHILDREN ARE OBESE OR OVERWEIGHT

Obesity is strongly related to socioeconomic status in children and this result remains, almost entirely consistent, across a range of different socioeconomic status indicators
